My PC worked fine at friend's house, brought it home and set up. Now it's not working. Takes forever to boot ; freezes then slowly inches along on XP loading bar, then after 3-6 minutes load my desktop. If I click on anything takes 15-30+ seconds to respond.

Know for sure not HDD, PSU, RAM, Periphials, because I have checked all using other computers. I can't check CPU or MoBo because Everyone I know uses AMD chipset.

My Specs:
Intel e4600 2.2ghz
EVGA 650i ultra (MoBo)

did you download anything onto your computer at the friends house? either from the net, or from another computer? because if everything is going very slow, it could be malware, especially if it happens suddenly. However it is not deffinatly malware, try looking through these two topics, in this order, and following the instructions, hopefully that will sort it out.

Maybe try a reformat. Or a repair install.

I know for a fact that if it is a cold day and a computer spends too much time outside, then its probably going to get a few problems. I've tried...

I'm also going to jump on the virus/malware/spyware problem.

Have you downloaded Superantispyware and booted into safe mode?
