There is a large black pipe that extends from the cpu vent to my stock cpu heatsink/fan and between it is a EXTREMELY noisy fan...how do I take it off and is it normal?

Is this pipe connected to a grill in the side panel?

If so, the pipe should be connected by push pins to the top of the hsf. Just pop it off and remove the fan.

It won't be strictly necessary anyway.
