Default Updating the BIOS

I have the Jetway M26GT3-SVP motherboard and I have recently upgraded my CPU from a AMD Sempron to an AMD 64 Athlon. I need to update my BIOS to let it recognize my new hardware since it only reads “AMD processor unknown” on the boot up screen and in windows. I have found the up to date BIOS files on the Jetway website “AWD893” and the utility tool necessary as specified on the website “AWDFLASH”. But I cannot find any description on how to use these files? Do I have to make a bootable CD and run it on startup? Floppy is out of the question for me since I don’t have a floppy drive only a CD drive.

And if so can you give me some helpful instructions that would help a lot.

Yeah, make a bootable CD and run the utility from the command prompt.

Darn it! I use CDburner XP pro 3.0 abd when I burn the files and select the boot options I chose 1.44 floppy because all the other options show a "could not find DOS" on the command prompt. Yet the 1.44 emulation options never seems to load it starts and never comes to any end or gives me any options to chose from. it shows Caldera-Dos and the trademark and doesn't go anywhere from there??

Well this is useless I have tried pretty much everything and I simply can't get this to work, I guess my little sisters are not going to care anyway they only use the PC for web surfing and games. Guess I won’t be updating the “entire” package with the BIOS and all, but the PC runs without any trouble and can recognize the new CPU speed. But I must admit that Jetway have done absolutely nothing to ease a BIOS update for their motherboards, with that said I want to say thanks to you Dave for trying to help rest assured I won't let this bother me anymore, who cares if the BIOS/Wndows can recognize the CPU model when it works flawlessly in the first place.
