Upgrading My RAM

Hi, im going to upgrade my ram from a 256mb to 1012mb, my laptop is a Medion MIM2220. Do i just plug the new ram card in and off I go? Or do i need to install anything?

As long as the ram in compatible you should have no trouble at all, just slot it in and hey presto
Make sure you have it turned off first of course lol

When u say compatible, do you mean same number of pins and right size so that it slots in? Or is there more to it than that?

Another thing, some of the ram cards im looking at are 533mhz and others are 667mhz. Will only one of them work on my laptop? Or will the 667mhz one just be faster?

It will have to be the right number of pins and be laptop memory, as for the mhz you will have to find out what your board supports up to, but you should be find with 533mhz

Post your make and model no. of your Laptop, if the exact model number is "D95924" DDR2-667 is the max supported by that lappy

533mhz is fine for a lappy. although you if you want to go with 667 and it is com patible then you wont seem much performance difference.
