Default What kind of ram do i buy for my computer?

http://compreviews.about.com/cs/desk...hT3265.htmthis is my computer. On the front of it it says "512 DDR SDRAM"So im guessing its SDRAM I need. Now here's the question. If you read that site it says I use PC2700 RAM not PC3200. Can I buy PC3200 ram for it? Or will it not get read?Thank you.

Your link quotes a number of pc's.

But regardless of this it will be dependent on whether or not your motherboard supports 3200 ram.

You'll need to find the make and model of the motherboard and view the manufacturers website.

Default What kind of ram do i buy for my computer?

At the end of the day it doesnt matter if your PC supports the faster RAM.

ALL your RAM will run at the lowest speed of the RAM installed.

So if you have 1 PC3200 and 1 PC2700 both will run at PC2700.

It has to do with bus speed. PC2700 is for a 333mhz bus. PC 3200 will work fine, it will just run at your bus speed and not at it's full potential of 400mhz.However, Go herehttp://www.kahlon.com/and look up your system and see what is recommended.Or you can go to Crucial's site and let them scan it and see what they recommend.http://www.crucial.com/promo/index.a...ckscansnapTake care, Keith
