I buy a lot of stuff on eBay.

Just be careful, buy from decent sellers / larger shops, and if in doubt, post a link here first for to get a second opinion.

The biggest retailer online nowadays is probably newegg.com. But I would definitely check any small computer shops near you that are locally owned. You can very often find super cheap stuff.

Yeah I would look around at local computer shops. Don't trust ebay, even if the part isn't shipped broken, 50% of the time something will get messed up.

This is simply not true!
Do you think eBay would be as popular as it is if this were the case?
As I said earlier I have bought 100's of item from eBay and know of others that have done the same, yet I have only received one faulty item.
If you buy from trusted sellers then you have nothing to worry about, all you have to do is check their feedback.....easy!
