I have just been landed with another computer
Pentium 4 Processor 2.000Gz The problem is it only has 256MB of RAM . Now I'm not sure if I need DDR or DDR2 memory However what are the prices I should be expecting to pay to get the RAM up to at least 512 |

So not expensive. Would you trust ebay though with ec computer parts or would it be better to buy it new

I have bought 100's of used/new parts off eBay
Bought a sound card from Hong Kong once for 50cent that was borked!

I buy a lot of stuff on eBay.
Just be careful, buy from decent sellers / larger shops, and if in doubt, post a link here first for to get a second opinion.

The biggest retailer online nowadays is probably newegg.com. But I would definitely check any small computer shops near you that are locally owned. You can very often find super cheap stuff.

Yeah I would look around at local computer shops. Don't trust ebay, even if the part isn't shipped broken, 50% of the time something will get messed up.
