Hi everybody, well my question is pretty simple, i would like to upgrade my CPU to a Phenom Quad Core, or a Triple core or maybe even to a Phenom 2, i would if Phenom would work on my motherboard, it's a ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe(Wireless edition), it has a AM2 socket, so if i buy a phenom will it work properly on my motherboard ? if so will i need to update my BIOS ? and will it lose any speed?(can my motherboard keep up with the speed of the CPU?)

My BIOS version is Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG (from everest)

And here are my motherboards specifications..
I hope someone can help me ..

Support AMD® Socket AM2+/ AM2 Phenom FX(2000MT/s)/Phenom(2000MT/s)/ Athlon 64 X2 / Athlon 64 FX / Athlon 64/ Sempron
That's what is says on their site.

As far as I know you'll be fine with any Phenom AM2 or AM2+ chip.

Not sure what BIOS you have, your version is not what you posted above.

http://support.asus.com/download/dow...2-SLI%20Deluxe

Open the BIOS tree and you can get all the BIOS info there.

Possibly, their documentation isn't clear, they say the board will run any AM2+ or AM2 chip.

Buy it and see if it runs, if not flash the BIOS.

Or email ASUS.

It's fairly straight forward, ASUS will offer some instructions with the BIOS download.

Yes things can go wrong and if they do it will kill the mobo, that said I have never had a problem.
