Try re-installing FF.

Also try another stick of RAM and see if it disappears, then return the one in question.

Have you installed any add-ons to Firefox? If so, load Firefox in safe mode, and see if the problem persists. If so, do as Dave said above, and re-install Firefox.

If your still having the problem, please let us know, as I have a few ideas to why this is happening.

Regards Jason.

Ok, it's looking to be a ram problem.

Please download Memtest86+ from HERE.

Download the ISO version, or if you have a floppy drive, download the floppy version.

If you choose the ISO download, then you will need to burn the image to a CD using your burning software.

Reboot your system and enter bios, usually by pressing the delete or F2 key. Once in there, set your boot select to CD, then insert your CD into your CD drive, or the Metest86+ Floppy in your floppy drive.

It is recommended that you let the test run for at least 7 passes, however you may run it for longer or shorter if you wish.

Please report back with the details of the test, errors or no errors.

Finally, does it crash ONLY when browsing the net? Have you tried a different browser? Your pagefile maybe too high, however I will instruct how to check this after you have ruled bad memory out.

Regards Jason.

That's good.

I would like to check pagefile first, so please do the following now:

Right click my computer, then properties, and then select the advanced tab, followed by the change button.

Click on the custom size button and click in the initial size box, make the size of the page file 0. Click in the maximum size box, make the size of the page file 0. Now click set.

Now reboot your machine. Once your system is back into Windows, run a defrag.

Once the defrag has finished, go back to the page file settings, as shown above. For the initial and maximum pagefile size make it 1.5 times the amount of ram you have. i.e if you have 512mb of ram set the page file to 768mb.

Reboot your machine. Once back into Windows, you'll have a brand new page file. Please let me know if you still receive crashes.

Regards Jason

That's not good. Your memory appears bad, therefore you will need some new memory, unfortunately.

Regards Jason.
