Hi NathanNP,

You could overclock the processor.

You need to consider the cooling you currently have in the computer, and what is the FSB?

You could upgrade the processor to a higher FSB, by at least on maybe two steps. Say it is a 400 FSB you may get away with 533. Processors only cost 10-20 pounds stearling (converted from USD).

Can you get away with increasing the FSB of your memory instead?

That is what is the current memory? Is it PC2100? Will the motherboard take a higher FSB?

You can find out by going to the motherboard/computer manufactures web site and looking it up, check the spec's. Then go to the Kinston web site and check the memory charts, they are very good.

I upgraded my IBM T-30 laptop memory from FSB 400 to FSB 533. I was just looking for 1 gig DDR ram for it when I saw the chart had FSB 533 ram, cool.
