Default X38 chipset

Well I know it has PCIe 2.0 however what I want to check is, does it work with SLI? because on distrubution sites, I have seen it saying Crossfire ready, however haven't seen anything about SLI, and I know that Nvidia has their own chipset.

Thanks

Actually, looking on the ones at NewEgg, it seems that they're only Crossfire. Guess I was wrong. Perhaps it's the X48 that's SLI-ready across the board?
