Default Yes, but will it work

HI I'm about to upgrade my pooter and have this setup in mind. Its been awhile since I built a computer so I'm a little out of touch. Any help much appreciated.

Asus M2N-E SLI Board
AMD Athlon dual core 5600 AM2 Processor
2 x Asus 256Mb GeForce 8400 GS Cards (for SLI)
2 x 2Gb DDR 800 mem modules

What do you think?

No, that's like..well, I can't think of a potent analogy, but it sucks. 8400 is easily the worst card you can buy in quite a while.

Get a 8800GT.

Not sure about the CPU pick, because I have no idea what AMD's division in charge of processor naming is smoking.

What are you using your computer for games? If so, and even if not, i would personally ditch the 8400s and get an 8800GT or if your budget doesnt strech an 8600GT/S. One of these cards will well outperform two 8400s.

Are you keen to stick with AMD? Intel currently have the edge on processors. Maybe the E4500?

Well I've always used AMD, except one laptop I have which has a P4, and never had any probs with them. Thanks for the Graphics help, I'll keep looking..

Will you use your PC for gaming? If so, what resolution will you be playing games at?

Also what kind of budget do you have?
