Hi.

So I was recently deleting files which I no longer use from my computer in order to free up some space. Afterwords I checked how much space I had and it said 346/456 gb free. I new there was something wrong because I don't have very much stuff so I downloaded Windirstat which checks how much memory is in use on your computer. After it was finished it said that only 50 gb are in use.......... What happened to the other 60gb of space? I am running vistasp1 and I have formatted my computer once if that makes a difference. Please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, my only thoughts would be that you either have a huge hidden folder somewhere, or that your OS and maybe system recovery data didn't register with the Windirstat scan.

Or that it has become corrupted, and requires reformatting.

If you have 350 odd GB space left, why do you specifically need 60GB right now?

You might never never need it, or have moved on by the time you do.
