Default 750gb H/drive Reverse Partition

Ihave just bought a new pc with a single SAMSUNG sata 3.5 hdd,
The company who built the computer, pre installed vista home premium on it & formatted the drive, into two parts- c,149gb & f, 549gb.
Is there any way to turn this drive, back into one drive, as i like to back up on a seperate external hdd. I still have all my data on my old pc at the moment.

Yes, go to the start menu and right click on my computer.
go to manage.
then on the left you will see disk managment, click on that.
then right click on the F partition and format it, be sure to backup all the data first!
then you can right click on the C drive and EXTEND the partition to include the rest of the drive

Fo to disk managemnt and right click on the drive with vista installed on.
You should then be able to click extend. It should the allow you the option to bind the two partitions together. I havent done it for a while so can't really remember :)

Shrink volume c is available, extend is not highlighted.
I re formated drive f, & that gave me the option to shrink the volume which i did, then i could expand it again.
Could it be c is in use, do you think i would have to re- format c as well ,which i really did not want to do at this time.
