My computer is a dell dimension 3000 and is having al sorts of problems reading or using and accessories i try to plug into a USB port. First it wouldn't read my mobile phone, it says it's found a samsung hardware but cannot use it in the programs for it.

A SD card adapter, says it cannot find the drivers and to insert the cd (which no-one gives out any more it's all meant to be available online- though cannot find anything that helps)

Now My Ipod cannot work, finds it in the device manager but says again drivers are not right, again no cd.

I think there have been other accessories i'm forgetting and I'm guessing it's unlikely that all of them are missing drivers and that it's actually something wrong with the desktop, (don't know if this would be linked i did have problems with the drivers for the internet and had to get them reinstalled by PC world)

Any suggestions would be great as this is driving me insane??
