Default Blu- Ray Writer Showing As Hard Drive

Hi can anyone help have built a pc using a gigabyte motherboard, its has a quad processor and 8 gig ram. have installed windows xp pro with service pack 3. the problem i am having is that I have installed a blu-ray writer and a duel layer writer, now in device manager they are recognised as writers and they do work, but in my computer they show as hard drives so the auto run function will not work have updated the drivers from gigabyte but to no success can anyone help me please

Check for firmware updates from the Drive manufacturers.
