So i have this external Seagate 500gb HD, connected directly onto my MB.
If i turn it on before I hit the power button on my comp every thing runs fine (and fast) but if i decide i want it 2 or 3 hours latter then i have too turn it on and restart my comp for it to pick up... is there any software so far that allows it to connect with out a restart like USB?? thx |

That feature must be supported by the BIOS, as far as I know. You might google around to see if it is in a newer BIOS, then flash it to the newest revision.

Newwest version for my Abit IP35V, was already flashed
I'll see if there's a setting in the bios next time i boot... |
