I'm sure there is a simple answer to this but please VERY simple as I am just that when it comes to computers!
My PC - Dell Dimension 5150 - Windows XP I have just bought the Samsung Spinpoint 1TB HDD and the Sharkoon Quickport SATA caddy. I am planning to upgrade my SkyHD box using these. Connected up, got the usual bingbong. New hardware recognised etc. Checked in "My Computer" and I can't see the new SamsungHDD & Caddy there? Checked - Device Manager - Disc Drives - and see it listed as General External USB Device. Why is it not being recognised and why can't I see it in My Computer ? How will I use the Copy Plus programme to transfer the data from my old Sky HDD if my PC can't find the new Caddy & HDD ?
