 Cd Rom Problems Hey Everybody, I have a dell dimension 8100. I recently attempted to install a new windows XP operating system on my computer and for whatever reason, my computer doesnt recognize that there is a CD rom drive at all. I'm not really sure what to do. Has anybody experienced similar issues? Any help would be really appreciated...thanks guys -Derek |

First thing to try would be to remove the primary and secondary IDE channels from device manager. On a restart Windows will re-install your hard drives and CD-Rom drives. My System: Hybr!d

| Cd Rom Problems I have a dell from 2003 and both cdrom drives crapped out on me 2 years ago.
