Hey guys,
I Bought a 500gb hard drive in an external case not long ago reformatted it to suit windows and basically filled it up with stuff i could no longer fit on my computer. My music collection, flash animation projects (which i really cant afford to lose) and a bunch of photos and such (which i also cant afford to lose). So now, I have no idea why, my computer is suddenly telling me that it is not formatted and that the file system is RAW which i've never even heard of, same with all the other pcs in my house. The weird thing is my ps3 will still read the data it recognises (music video etc.) perfectly although alot slower than it used to but it still sees all the folders as being on the drive. SO as you can all probably imagine this sucks majorly and im fairly stressed about the whole situation BUT I'm pretty sure there must be a solution out there that doesnt invlove me losing my data so im here to find it. Any help will be much much much appreciated and i thank you in advance.
Cheers,
Jay.

Oh yeah and i also have a pc with 1tb of free space to back up too if that helps.

I seen it happend many times, but frankly I never manage to find solution. I am quite suprprised that PS3 can read those files. RAW basically means that there is no file system on the drive at all. Try Using Paragon Drive Manager to convert it back to FAT32 or NTFS (it does work for 30% cases) if that's dosn't help try recovery - RStudio is the best.

If you fail in both, I can provide a professional Data Recovery and free Diagnostics.

Have a try with Test Disk (free).
You may need to do a bit of reading (check the documentation downloads) to learn how to use it properly, but it is very good at recovering lost partitions.
