Default DELL OPTIPLEX 500Mbr+ Bios Revision AO7 Adding Harddrive

I have ben trying to add hard drive and computer will not detect primary or secondary.

Then it tells me MEDIA TEST FAILURE CHECK CABLE

Try checking the cable is connected properly the hard drives and that you have your main drive jumper setting as master and the second drive jumper setting as slave

Try putting all drives in "cable select" jumper configuration. Also make sure that in the BIOS somewhere you haven't disabled reading from the IDE controller.
