Hi,
I recently got a new computer. So I decided to combine two old ones together, ie. expanding one of them. I added RAM, a hard drive and replaced a CD drive with a DVD drive. The computer already had a DVD drive before. Now when I turn on the computer, everything shows up, except the DVD drives. The original one didn't show up either. The hard drive I put in had another copy of Windows XP, but it wasn't valid. So now the computer has one valid and one invalid license. I was thinking of formatting the drive with the invalid key, but haven't done it yet. Could this be part of the problem? I have checked all cables inside and outside the computer and everything is secure. Any help is appreciated. |

Hi,
No need to help. I solved the problem by using another IDE cable. |
