Hi all, :wave:
I have a licensed copy of Net Protector anti-virus installed. :wink:My sony DVD writer was working nicely. But now in my Nero Express, All options I can see is Image Recorder and not the actual dvd writer. It plays the cd's and dvd's, but can't write to them. Is there any other software (especially, free) than Nero? How to get it? :upset: I have my hard disk full and want to backup a lot of data. I uninstalled Nero and resinstalled it. but the problem persists.:mad: Is it because of a virus? Please help me. |

Check in my computer and see if the drive is displayed there, if not then let us know and we can tell you how to rectify this easily

Yeah, it's very unlikely its a problem with Nero, because you'd still be able to write with Windows (By dragging a folder over to the drive and clicking write files)
It's most likely a bad firmware or something, just look in Device Manager as ZC says, to see if theres any little yellow signs, or its not there at all.
