Got a 1TB Neso hard drive about 2 weeks ago, was using USB and was running fine. But now when I use USB the hard drive lights just blink constantly as if something is accessing the hard drive... so, I try the eSATA connection and it won't detect. After some research I have to go into the BIOS and enable it, but when I got to the BIOS it seems everything is enabled.
Any ideas? |

I've tried the USB connection on about 4 different laptops and PCs and everytime the hard drive light just starts blinking and it doesn't detect.

Sounds like the drive has died ..... time to dust down the receipt and get an exchange.

I seem to be having problem after problem with eSATA. Basically I've got an external hdd which when connected vis USB works fine. But I've been having problems on the eSATA front.
Firstly, I connect them, and nothing happens. I researched and found that lots of eSATA cables are too long and so I trimmed a bit off and VOILA! it connects. But oh no, it crashes my computer aswell. So I turn it off and turn it back on and Windows won't boot up, just a black screen and as soon as I disconnect the eSATA connection it loads up. I plugged it in again and Windows freezes, then I unplug it and it worked fine again within seconds. Something else which happens is that if I connect it, let it crash and then disconnect it, Windows will work fine but the HDD light on the laptop just stays solid as if it is doing something 100% of the time, but it's actually not. So yeah, can anyone shed some light? |
