Hey Guys! Just wanted to ask if it's possible to prevent the other users on my computer from accessing and viewing the files on my external hard-drive.There are another two user accounts [apart from mine] and both are Limited.I'd rather not have them going through the stuff on the external ... is there a way to seal it of from them?Conveniently without having to password it, as I access it alot and would rather not have to keep typing a pass in. I'm running Windows XP Pro Thanx in advance!

Hi The easiest way would be to Format the Hard Drive as NTFS, bearing in mind this will get rid of all data on it. Depending on the current file system you may be able to convert it. This would then allow you to set permissions as you do on your computer. It is no where near bullet proof, but stop idle browsing. I hope this helps, if you would like instructions on how to do this just let me know. Many Thanks Leo

Thanks so much for your reply! My drive was already formatted as NTFS, so I just googled up Permissions and was able to set them through the Security Tab. I double checked through one the Users and it doesn't allow access anymore to the Folders on the Drive.Woo! Thanks again!
