Hi, I have a lot of games, and was just wondering if you could play the game off the external drive.

Not sure it would work as the data transfer rates will probably be much slower than an internal hard drive.

I play a couple games off my external, but they aren't good games, or graphically intensive. I wouldn't recommend it because of the reasons Dave stated

If you have a sufficient amount of RAM the only time that the HDD will be active is when the game is loading, as the memory will take most of the workload
