Hey,

I have a external hardrive connected to my computer at all times. (With all my games and music etc.)
I have both the e-sata and USB cable connected.

Do i need to have both cables connected?
Which one is beter to have connected?
What is the other one for?
Is an external hardrive just as fast as a internal hardrive with that e-sata cord connected?

Thank you, i look forward to your replys.

It is likely that the e-sata cable is used for the data transferral and the USB is used for powering the drive, so you will want to have both cables connected.

my guess would then be that it could use either? maybe so it could be used as an internal drive with the e-sata, or external witht he USB? if so, e-sata is faster, i think, as USB only goes up to a few hundred mb/s
