Hey guys
I need help with this old laptop hard drive.I use it for storage but when the wifes acer one netbooks wifi card failed I had to use the HD to create a recovery.
I can no longer use the HD as my vista laptop only shows it on the safely remove option, and the Linux acer one that it recovered shows the files attached.I have explored every folder and file but can't find a way to format it so I can use it again for storage.
I will really appreciate any ideas.

on your windows computer attach it, go to your start menu, right click my computer (or computer in vista), click manage, on the left in computer management in the storage section click disk management, and in here you can format the drive etc. *****FORMATTING ERASES ALL DATA ON DRIVE SO BE CAREFUL*****

ryannathans,
You are the man!!! Brilliant, thank you very much I managed to do it the way you suggested. The strange thing is the laptop I got the HD from was a 60gig ,so I used to get about 58gig storage from it. Since the format it is showing 74.5,
Again thank you
