Hi Parmo

All new HDD's added to a pc need to be formatted.
Right click on the drive in Disk Management and format it.
The route is Start/ Control Panel/ Admin Tools/ Computer Management/ Disk Management.

You need to reformat that drive in NTFS Parmo.
It sounds like you have formatted using FAT32 which will only see a certain amount.

Read this also Parmo.

You can't Parmo
You can change FAT32 to NTFS but not vice versa.
Did you read my link regarding partitioning?

I'd set the 30GB as Primary Master if it contains the OS

Set the CDRW as Primary Slave

Set the 250GB as Secondary Master formatted in NTFS

Set the CDROM as Secondary Slave

You can't go back to FAT32 once a drive has been formatted in NTFS unless you re-format it Parmo.

Parmo can you please stick to this thread with regard to this issue rather than make a new post, thanks.
