Me again... finally instaled new hard drive but am getting similar problems as pandahead.
clicked on " my computer" no new hard drive can be seen. checked in bios the new one is there and the smaller one too,new one is in device manager also. now am stumped??? |

All new HDD's added to a pc need to be formatted. Right click on the drive in Disk Management and format it. The route is Start/ Control Panel/ Admin Tools/ Computer Management/ Disk Management. My System: #

instaled new hard drive250gb,after help from wolfey finally found the hard drive,then spent hours trying to format it.it stated in disk management the following:disk 0 basic 28.3gb thats my smaller hard drive, then disk F 128gb the new one,whats happened to the rest of the 250gb hard drive?any clue's/

wolfey your correct again it is in NTFS how do i change it to FAT 32?

You can't Parmo
You can change FAT32 to NTFS but not vice versa. Did you read my link regarding partitioning? |
