Default Hd 32gb?

Sorry if this thread has already been done, but I couldn't find it.

I have a 120GB Hitatchi HD as a slave in my Dell Dimension 4550. When I went to format it, it only registered it as a 32GB HD. I was wondering could anybody tell me how to get it to recognise it as a 120GB? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Maybe the BIOS is old and doesnt recongnise most of the drive, or the jumpers on the hard disk are set incorrectly.

Jumpers set correctly. How do I check if the BIOS is old (probably is - machine 2002 vintage) and how do I fix it?

You can fix the BIOS by flash updating it. Not very sure on how to do that, so someone with more experience will tell you.
