HD-DVD vs. Blu-Ray What do you all think?
Blu-Ray or High Def. (Silly name really though, as they are both High Definition)
As far as I can tell the real question is Price vs. Space, so i think there's a market for both and they will both sell...
which is a hell of a lot less than ideal..
Sony corp. and Philips should buy HD DVD, scrapping it and using the production facilities to make Blu-ray discs, as the reason they are double the price is that they they have a 0.1mm thick coat instead of the HD coating of 0.5, the same as Standard DVD, making production easier, also Blu-ray's coat is harder to make up for its lack of depth.
Basically if Blu-Ray were cheap, nothing would be standing in their way..
But here we go with World Tech War II, It's VHS - Betamax all over again..
Although people thought this would have died down by now, with an obvious winner (ie VHS) but it just carries on and on and on...
