Ok basically, im getting a wierd problem with my pc, were the cpu will rise straight upto 100% ill Ctrl alt delete and find that it is being caused by explorer.exe soo ill end it and then it will jump to a program like msn.exe and then ill end that and it might even jump to another program, its done it about 3-4 times now i think, and well i believe that is what started off my old hdd, and well bascially that one died, soo im getting quite worried about it as i did put quite a bit of money towards it something like £80, and it would be a shame to have to get a new one, and the lost to my files and such.

My specs are

Cpu - AMD anthlon 64 3800+ 2.4ghz
Mobo - Asrock ALiveSATA2-GLAN
Ram - 1gb of ram (not sure on the speed)
Graphics Card - Palit Nvidia Geforce 7600 gt 256mb
HDD - Samsung 250gb SATA2

Does this happen as soon as your computer boots up?

If so, chances are you could stop this from happening by disabling unwanted startup programs in msconfig.
