Hey my computer was working fine until this morning when i try to boot up and i get this error
"Reboot and select proper Boot device or insert Boot media in selected Boot device and press a Key" Now im not particularly knowledgeable about computer hardware, only enough to have built this PC, so im guessing that theres something wrong with the HDD where its supposed to boot from. So i go and check my setup/BIOS settings and now its telling me that the only thing connected via SATA is my CD/DVD drive, ive tried changing the HDD SATA ports and even tried changing the cables, but nothings helping. Additionally, im assuming this is connected, ever since i first built this PC when i boot up i get a flashed image of "No hard disc detected" but then it disappears and the PC boots like normal, no problem. I just kinda assumed it was being picky or slow but im guessing now these two things are connected. Thanks in advance |

What HDD have you got in there, and what's your Motherboard?
It could be one of three things: 1) Faulty Hard Drive - Most likely 2) Dodgy connection 3) Faulty South Bridge Chipset
