everytime i turn the computer on it says hard drive failure imminent and have too press f1 to clear it am also worried as have 5 years of photos on the computer so how would i save them to disc and what sort disc do u need? please help asap as scared of losing all pics of the kids

Do you get this message before or after you get to the logon screen?

If your drive supports it, go for a DVD, they hold more data. If not, go for a CD

If you don't have a CD/DVD burner or would find burning a CD difficult a memory/pen drive would be pretty simple.

I got a 4GB recently from www.ebuyer.com for £15.

Or if you've got an mp3 player just create a folder labelled 'pics' in it and move the files across.
