How do I reformat my hard disk? how do you? Home-built computer.

First make sure that the computer is set to boot from the cd-rom. Insert the windows xp cd, reboot the computer, and follow the steps from there. Do a simple google search for this, and you will find some more in depth instructions.

If you want to format and not install another operating system then you need to Fdisk.
