i read the top of your image closely, the part where it said 'ramdisk'

Did you buy one of those massive ass things that you can put like 64 sticks of RAM in and it acts like a HDD?

Like some kind of super-array

lol. no, i jus used a software called ramdisk to temporally partition my RAM as an HDD.

Given the CPU usage, I'd say it'd be as much use as a cream slice for intensive applications that can make use of it..

64 sticks of RAM?? At 2Gb each that's 128Gb of RAM.. That'd make a good hard drive although 64 sticks of RAM would need a good PSU and a case the size of a small building lol.

I wonder if there's a reason for that? Maybe a heavily used server or something

Well if you've got a massive hard drive speed, typically you want to put it with a fast cpu but the cpu usage is very high on that graph so wouldn't that be the new bottleneck thus giving little advantage over a normal setup?

im not sure. lol. i have yet to fiddle with it more. i would suppose if i had 2 quad cores like that guy is the SSD awesomeness video, i wouldn't be as much CPU usage.
