i have an external Verbatim 500gb ehd. 2 months ago i plugged it into my bell cable box(to use it as a PVR) and when i plugged it in it formatted it to the format it needed. a couple of days ago i wanted to use it for my PS3, so i formatted it to FAT32. when i plugged it in it shows it as only having 7.8 gb of space. where`s the other 493 gigs!
what format does the cable box put it to. if i knew i could figure out a solution. i can`t find this info anywhere.

Use the PS3 to format it, it might use some unique file system.
