I have a M2A-VM HDMI motherboard with a Single seagate Sata II Hard Drive. My question what mode should i use for my vista OS. The Bios Setting are :

1) IDE Controller
2)RAID Controller
3)AHCI Controller

They all work in their own way depends on how you want it to work.

As you have a single SATA drive you want SATA.

IDE is for older type drives and the others are for running two drives together.

I tried Sata IDE mode It is stable and i did not need to install RAID Drivers.

I tried Sata Raid Mode It install fine but after 30mins uptime it locksup.

I tried Sata AHCI Mode it install fine but after 30mins uptime it locksup.

I checked for Overheat Problem with CPU and GPU but they are fine.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 CPU Temp = 25 Celcius

Ati Radeon Video Card Temp = 38 Celcius

I ruled out Startup Programs.

You want the first option you listed, and you don't need RAID as you are only running one drive, RAID is for two.
