Default IDE and SATA HDDs - got some questions!

My hard drives are an old 40GB IDE and a new 250GB SATA
First of all, will it be complicated to have both installed on 1 system?
Second, what drive should I put my OS and drivers on?

I'm sure I had more questions but I can't remember them lol. Will be back with more at some point!

Yep you can run both, assuming your motherboard has IDE and SATA ports
And for running your OS the SATA would be quicker

Yeah it has 1 IDE port and 6 SATA ports. I think 1 is a bit lame because I have to have my HDD and DVD drive on the same ribbon cable which is crap. I suppose with a SATA HDD though, the performance of the IDE HDD wouldn't matter.

If they are both running off the same IDE you should set them up as master and slave or else it could cause some slowdown to your comp

I know that! The jumpers are already configured to master and slave but connecting a HDD on the same ribbon cable as a DVDD slows the HDD down. But if I am using a 250GB SATA HDD as my primary HDD it shouldn't matter about the IDE.....I think lol!
