Default Latest Seagate Hard-drive

Hi, so I am interested in buying 2 identical HDD and I was looking at the Seagate 500GB 7200.11 with 32mb cache.

My question is this, what does cache really stand for and what is its purpose on HDDs? Is there a difference between 32mb & 16mb cache??

Hope someone could help.

Tnx

Cache is used for buffering reads from the drive esp. in reading ahead,so 32Mb should be more responsive.
