im trying to boot windows xp from my mem stick is this possible if so how do you do it

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...cket,1113.html worked fine for me. I ignored the warning about not using XP format and got away with it, I think the format's fine for driverless USB sticks.

well start by having a usb at least 2GB as XP requires 1.5GB. load the drivers for XP onto stick inc setup programs, then when you want to boot from usb change the boot order in bios

yeah i know that but dont you have to have boot files for the usb to boot up

Bart PE Builder includes all the bootstrap files that are needed. What you must have is a BIOS capable of selecting a USB device as bootable, that's all. Old ones don't, newer ones do.
