Hi, i recently bought a new 1gb USB stick from ebuyer the cheapo value one. Both computers are running vista and the college pc's run XP

The stick works fine in the other vista pc and college computers with it just installing USB MASS STORAGE etc but then theres my pc... my old usb stick used to work in this thing but the new one doesnt? ive tried different usb slots.

Im using an A8v mobo and my brother is using an a8v deluxe.

Everytime i plug the thing in it comes up with found new hardware (search auto) (ask later) (dont ask me again)

it searches the pc for drivers, then windows update and in the end it just fails... not quite sure what the hell is the reason :(

As it says there its not configured properly i.e. its not installed properly have you tried reinstalling it? If not maybe try a google search for drivers and see if that does the trick?

plugged a camera into usb earlier and it didnt work, did the same usb memory stick crap. Plugged it into my brothers pc almost identical and it worked straight away.

Im guessing that the motherboard is screwed up, as per usual

I've had similar problems in the past.

In the end I just added a cheap PCI USB port card, they are about £15.
