It sounds like you've just transferred the tracks into the media players library. This tell's the player you have such and such songs and they are located on drive ......

You need to physcially transfer the songs to your internal hard drive in your pc and then load them into the library.

Right click on your desktop and select "new folder" by left clicking

Then go to you external hard drive in 'my computer' double click on the drive.

Then just go to each folder/album containing the songs you want to transfer.

Left click on the first one so it's highlighted

Press CTRL (if moving more than one folder/album) and keep it pressed.

Then left click on each of the other folders/albums you want to transfer across.

You'll now see them all highlighted.

On the left top of the screen you'll see 'copy to'

left click this.

left click on desktop.

Then search for the 'new folder'

left click on this folder.

Now click 'ok'
