drive, Ipod or something that stores memory. Why?? Can it be fixed Every time I connect a storage device (Ipod, Flash drive etc) using the USB, my computer restarts. Should I buy a new USB card or hub?? or can it be fixed?? help plz...All other stuff like the Keybord, mouse, joystick works fine... run spyware software first to make sure nothing go into your system and is causing the problem......check/update the drivers for the usb ports as well

you have a short in the usb port on your computer / hub. alot of times this happens when someone tries to plug something in the wrong way the saftey plastic that keeps the pins from touching the metal then touch the outer metal causing your system to short out and reboot.. You can check the port and see if this is the case if it is use some electrical tape to block off the port so you dont try to use it again.. If the pins are bent down and touching the metal frame around them use a small knife or screwdriver to bend the pins back up then tape off the port. using another port that you should have open will work just fine if you are running out of ports buy a hub like you yourself said.
