Hi,

I've recently replaced both the DVD-ROM, and the DVD re-writer drives on my PC with new ones. Since I did this, I'm having problems when starting up the computer.

Basically, when it reached the loading windows screen, my monitor goes into power-save mode, as if its not receiving a signal from the PC. I have to restart anywhere between 3-7 times before it loads up properly.

Could anyone maybe enlighten me on why this is happening, and how I would go about fixing this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You may have your drive jumpers in the wrong order(assuming the drives are IDE) try setting one up as master and one as slave
The jumpers will be beside where you put the IDE cables in
See my amazing paint artwork circle
