My new Pioneer DVDRW drive is SATA but my old CD drive is a PATA.
I can't see a SATA connection on motherboard of my Dell Dimension 2400, have I bought the wrong drive or can you get an adaptor?

You can get adapters or even buy a SATA PCI card, then you will get the faster SATA acess times (drive spec permitting).
