It must do, I've never known a card reader not support XD, nor have I heard of X card, a typo there I think. The bottom right of your picture looks like an XD slot to me, and also to quote the description, it supports all popular memory card types, therefore they should be sued if it doesn't support XD because it has to be one of the most used types out there. I think XD stands for Extreme Digital anyway, so one way or another, yes I think your fine.

good news it arrived today and ive tried all the cards ive got at home and they all work with the card reader, apart from the SIM reader for some reason when i insert a sim card into the sim slot and when i open the sim edit software which was supplied with the cd, it cant read my sim card also all the boxes are all greyed out?

Is the SIM locked? Although usually these softwares can unlock them, but it may be worth checking.

Yeah that's what I meant.. hmm, a strange one then.

I've bought a similar reader with a SIM slot, but not used it yet as its part of my new (unfinished) build, so having never used one I don't really know what to suggest..

EDIT its all sorted, it wasnt showing in device manager thast why, all the other portable devices were eg sd slot compact flash ms but not the smart card reader or sim card one, so all i did was refresh for any hardware changes and after it installed the smart card reader i then clicked on the sim program and it read my sim card
