Hi all,

I'm currently looking for a new flash drive which has this feature. I don't want to get one that doesn't have it and then use proprietry software that copies everything into one encrypted file if at all possible.

Suggestions please!

Regards,

I'm not too sure without calling on Google's experience, and I guess you've already done that.

I just know that PEAK do because that's what I and my family use, various different models and ranges, they always have the same utilities.

Ahh, I've just found what I'm looking for I think; a 16GB Verbatim.

Seems that the smaller capacities (4GB and under) nearly always come with software, but 8GB+ seldom do...

i think there is a small program which would be safer its called lock my pc, and this is a program that when you plug in the USB drive it encrypts it with any number of digits and numbers depending to what you have set the password to. This then will only be abled to be opened by this program on any pc with the specific program :)
so my sujjestion make a kick ass password and encrypt the part with vunerable detials on and then place the program exe. file on the accesable side of the partition this will meen where ever you go what ever pc you use you will always be able to access you files safe and secure.

But that's not what I want; I only what a password protected partition, not a program the writes on the fly to 1 encrypted file...I've heard that method is more likely to fail.

Besides, the USB stick could be used on any PC anywhere - no guaruntee that I would be able to install that software.

Anyway, thanks for the input, but I think I've already found a suitable device.
