Possible to make primary IDE and SATA slave?

Thread title says it all. Dont ask why I want to do this, I just need to know if it's possible to make an IDE HDD a primary and an SATA a slave.

Well, not on the same cable of course. SATA is by definition neither slave nor master as you can't run two off the same cord.

Otherwise yeah, just plug them in separately and set the IDE to master.
