Hello All: I need your help in the power issue of my HD. I got a 500GB LaCie USB 7200RPM HD format in FAT32 to use as recording storage for may PVR and it worked fine for a few days and one day I found the power cord got loose. I reconnected the power cord to the adapter and turned the power button back on but it kept blinking and could not be recognized by the PVR. I removed it from the PVR and reconnected to my computer but my PC did not detect it either. Somebody told me the power supply adapter went bad so I exchange to the good one but the problem existed. Whenever I turned on the power button I heard the drive spinning but the power light kept blinking and cannot be detected by window nor in the Device Manager. Is there anyone experienced this problem. Please help. Thanks.

it may be the power socket that is damaged, not the power cord but the socket you put in into on your hard drive. this can be fixed with a bit of soldering, if you are not too good in this area (i sence you just laughed) then i suggest getting someone with some electronic knowlage to fix it.
