Default Problem with 120 GB pocket hard drive!

Hi,
Recently I have purchased 120 GB Hitachi pocket hard drive (laptop HDD), which connects to computer via USB/ fire-wire. On first installation I has shown full 120 GB space and I partitioned it in two drives. Also I transferred about 50 GB of data in it. Everything was just fine. But when I disconnected and reconnected it, it was although showing both the partition but when I tried to transfer one more file in it, it has given an error message, saying that cannot copy to disc. Sometime it allows the transfer of some small files (< 10 MB), but mostly it gives the error message. I also tried repartitioning it, but the same problem occurred. Any guess what may be the problem?

TIA

Hello Matrix

Welcome to TCF

Can you post a screenshot of what it says in Disk Management
Did you format the 120gb before doing anything?
